><p>According to the <a href=\"https:\/\/medicinskaforeningen.se\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/01\/Medicinska-Foreningens-stadgar-2020-12-21.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">bylaws of Medicinska F\u00f6reningen<\/a>, 15 of the 29 seats in the union council are reserved for the sections. All section boards may elect a regular member and a substitute to represent the section in FuM.<\/p>\n<p>The three largest sections; the Medical Students\u2019 Section (LS), the Doctoral Students\u2019 Association (DSA) and the Biomedical Educational Section (BUS) may appoint an extra regular member and an extra substitute. The remaining 17 seats are filled by candidates in the general election.<\/p>\n<p>Of those who are not elected as ordinary members, ranked substitutes are chosen so that the one who receives the most votes becomes the first substitute, the second most votes second, and so on, until substitutes have been appointed to a maximum of the same number as the number of members appointed in the general election.
