Axel Schröder

Axel Schröder has been active within Medicinska Föreningen and other student associations ever since he started at Karolinska Institutet 5,5 years ago. He has helped start union bodies and he has contributed to MF:s operations by being a member of Fullmäktige. He has introduced new medical students to Medicinska Föreningen by being active every semester as a fadder, and later as a board member, in läkarintrot.

Axel is someone who loves MF and has spent most of his free time here, both during the years he has studied at KI but also when he was on a break from his studies. He has worked to maintain an engaging student community within MF by doing everything from singing, acting and directing the scit group to playing hockey, toasting at sittings and loosing at Idru’s beer pong tournaments several years in a row.

Upon high recommendations from the scit group, the board has decided to award Crux Parva Medicorum to Axel Schröder.

Amanda Wannerholt

Amanda Wannerholt started her engagement in Medicinska Föreningen as a part of the scit group. She has been a part of the board, head of sound and light and she is a part of the singing group, as we just saw when the amazing Flix were on stage.

Amanda has also worked tirelessly for everyone’s well-being and equal treatment within MF. She has stood up for right and wrong and worked hard to make MF a better place for everyone, both students and staff. She played an important role in organizing a union meeting that improved the environment within MF.

In order to highlight her efforts and show our appreciation as a union the MF board has decided to award Amanda Wannerholt with Crux Parva Medicorum.

Erik Niklasson

As chairperson of the sports committee in 2020, responsible for the partnership with Svenska Akademiska Idrottsförbundet (SAIF), and as a member of Sportstugenämnden Erik Niklasson has done invaluable voluntary work for Medicinska Föreningen.

Before and during his time as chairperson of the sports committee, Erik helped establish weekly activities in the KI gym in Solna; scheduling up to 14 weekly activities for members of the student union. With his welcoming personality Erik also opened up the sports committee to more international students and made everyone feel included.

During his term as chairperson he worked to maintain, strengthen, and build partnerships with other committees within Medicinska Föreningen such as the reception committee and the program committee, as well as with other organizations such as KI Health Promotion.

When COVID-19 affected the lives of all members of MF, Erik put large efforts in maintaining the sports committee’s function as a promotor of physical activity and health within the student body.

Upon high recommendations from the sports committee, the board has decided to award Crux Parva Medicorum to Erik Niklasson.

Lisa Petersson

Ever since Lisa Petersson started her job here at MF she has always made sure that everyone feels like a part of the MF-community. She has worked for everyone’s well-being and equal value and contributed in many ways to improving the culture at MF. She has always offered the best service to all of those who visited her at the reception desk and she worked hard to maintain MF’s functions during the pandemic, making sure that members still felt welcome and included in MF despite the union house being closed.

Lisa has also developed the administration at MF, with everything from implementing a new member system to improving internal- and external- communication.

Lisa has always seen everyone; both members and colleagues and helped where she could. She has played an important role in keeping the community together among her colleagues during difficult times, she has stood up for right and wrong and worked hard for the unions well-being during stormy times.

For this, Lisa Petersson is awarded Crux Parva Medicorum. We wish you all the best in Uppsala even though we will miss you a lot here at MF.

Marlene Rietz

Marlene Rietz has done invaluable work for Medicinska Föreningen as an active member of the sports committee.

In 2020, Marlene was an important part of the sports committee’s board as PR manager. She was responsible for many of the sports committees weekly activities and worked to include international students, both in the sports committee and in MF. When the Covid-19 pandemic made it impossible to continue with sports activities in the previous format she started IdrU running, a social distancing running club that was the only activity the sports committee could keep going during the pandemic.

In 2021, Marlene became chairperson of the sports committee. She assisted the MF board with the project Mind and Body and worked with MF’s collaboration with Oura, a health technology company. Marlene also played a key role in organizing the webinar “At the heart of gold”, which dealt with the subject of sexual abuse in sports and the role of medical personnel.

Upon high recommendations from the sports committee, the board has decided to award Crux Parva Medicorum to Marlene Rietz.

Sara Klyvare

Anyone who has ever been to a FUM meeting or been in contact with the scit group has met Sara Klyvare. With her positive personality, reliability and commitment for MF she has made many friends.
In the scit group she has been a member of the board, head of the make-up department and a part of the singing group. You may have seen her on stage as queen of hearts in the production tweedled dee and tweedled dum or as Rocky in Monopoly.

When Sara found out that the environment and culture within MF needed to change she didn’t hesitate to stand up for the students and staff at MF. She worked tirelessly to make MF a safe and inclusive place for everyone and played an important role in organizing a union meeting that changed the organization.

In order to highlight her efforts and show our appreciation as a union the MF board has decided to award Sara Klyvare with Crux Parva Medicorum.
