Education Council (UR)

In the Education Council (UR), the sections and student representatives in Karolinska Institutet’s (KI) central bodies meet to discuss general educational matters. UR’s task is to prepare Medicinska Föreningen’s (MF) opinions on programme-wide educational issues and strengthen the student influence at KI.

UR also nominates recipients of the honorary award Mäster, which is awarded each year to a teacher at KI who has managed their teaching in a personal and committed manner, or initiated and implemented lasting improvements to the education.

The chair of the Education Council (URO)

UR is led by the chair of the Education Council (URO), which is one of MF’s central positions of trust and is remunerated at 25%. URO coordinates the student representatives, ensures that student representative positions are announced and prepares the election of the student representatives to be elected by the Union Council and the Board.
