The grand finale of every autumn semester is the graduation afterparty that PrU hosts in the union house in Solna! Bring all your friends and celebrate all KI graduates all night long!
To kick-start the spring semester, MU invites all new and old students to the union house in Solna where all parts of MF gather to welcome the new students – our new members!
On the third Saturday after the semester has started, MU organizes the traditional Amphiox Day where the new students get to compete in the Amphiox Games to be the winning Amphiox team.
In the evening, PrU organizes the traditional Amphiox Gasque in the union house in Solna, and MU invites all new students to their very own Amphiox Gasque in a nearby facilty. Later in the evening, the parties converge into the Amphiox afterparty in the union house!
On the fifth Wednesday every semester, IdrU arranges a sports day for all KI students. You can try everything from basket ball, swimming, ice skating to capoeira or going on a ski trip!
During the spring, the Sports Cabin Committee invites everyone who is interested to a fixing weekend at our lovely sports cabin Solvik in the Stockholm archipelago.
Every spring the male skit group of MF, Corpus Karrolina, entertains us in their spex with acting, dancing and singing!
To really celebrate the start of the summer and all the graduates of KI, PrU invites everyone to the marvellous graduation afterparty in the union house in Solna!
The Sports Cabin Committee invites everyone to yet another fixing event at Solvik, in the summer it’s time for a whole week to help us take care of Solvik and enjoy the wonderful nature at Värmdö!

MU arranges the traditional Amphiox Day where the new students compete in the Amphiox Games – to determine who the winning Amphiox team is.

NU arranges CHaSE, Careers in Health and Science Exposition, the largest career fair at KI.
In the union election you can apply to be a part of the Union Council (FuM) and vote for the candidates – this is all MF members’ chance to affect the big decisions made at MF and thereby the course of MF and also KI!
IdrU also arranges a Sports Day in the autumn semester for all KI students. Maybe this time you’d like to do some climbing, power lifting or pole dancing?
In November it’s time for MF’s female skit group Flix to put up their performance – a spex filled with entertaining acting, dancing and singing!
The Sports Cabin Committee hosts yet another fixing weekend at our beloved Solvik at Värmdö. Everyone is welcome to chop wood, paint the cabin, do some sauna bathing and meet new friends!
On the 13th of December PrU arranges the nicest and most solemn event at MF – the Lucia Ball. On this evening with a three-course dinner, first-class entertainment and waltzing in your ball gown, you might even meet the Nobel laureates of medicine or physiology, who are invited to our fabulous ball each year.
Medicinska Föreningen i Stockholm (MF) is the largest student union at Karolinska Institutet (KI) and together we work daily to make your time here as great as possible. MF monitors the education at KI and makes sure that they keep a high standard and that all students are well taken care of.
