Union Election 2025 – Election Results

The Election Committee hereby presents the results of the Union Election 2025/26!
Between October 27 and 31, the election was held, giving student members of the Medical Students’ Association the opportunity to vote for up to five candidates each.
The votes have now been counted, and the Election Committee can hereby announce the distribution of seats in the Student Union Council (FuM) for 2025/2026!

The Student Union Council will hold its inaugural meeting in November. During this meeting, positions of trust within the Medical Students’ Association for 2026 will be elected — including the President, Vice President, Secretary, and other members of the Board. Voter turnout: 128 participants
Total number of votes: 369
Number of candidates in the general election: 14

According to the statutes, 12 of the 23 seats in the Student Union Council are reserved for section representatives. After the sections appoint their representatives, the remaining seats in the Council are filled by candidates from the Union Election. The sections appointed 9 seats, leaving 14 seats to be filled through the general election.

According to the statutes of Medicinska Föreningen, 12 of the 23 seats in the Student Union Council are reserved for the sections. Each section board may appoint one regular member and one alternate to represent the section in the Council.
