Välkomna till Medicinska Föreningen!

Your first couple of weeks at KI will probably not be remembered as a time of buying new textbooks and going to lectures – instead it will be a time filled with loads of new encounters and making many new friends. During these weeks you will meet the classmates who will turn into some of your closest friends as well as older students who might give you tips and insight in how to survive at KI. We at The Reception Committee would therefore like to invite you and your fellow classmates to a reception where you will be able to bond with each other in the best possible way.

We in the Reception Committee will meet you Amphioxers during the afternoon of your first day of school at your respective campuses and be present for some reception activities and for a ‘First day of School’ pub. There will be an opportunity for you to take photos for your KI-card and a Campus tour to help you find your way around your new school. You’ll also be able to meet and hang out with sections and older students from other programs at KI.

The first Friday after school starts we’ll be hosting the Infopub in the Aula of MF Union House. Committees, associations and boards, as well as extern groups will be there to introduce themselves and tell you about their work. This is a great opportunity for you to meet and learn about MF while mingling around! PrU will later on continue the night by hosting a pub.

Amphiox Games is a full day filled with games, tough competition and guaranteed fun! Committees, associations and boards will have stations scattered around the Union house at Solna Campus that you and your Amphiox teams will pass throughout the day to complete challenges and gain points. The MU board vill be serving lunch and also be acting as jury for the competition (…we are also very bribeable). After the games, there will be “fulsitting”

After you’ve taken on your challenges during the Amphiox Games, your first “sittning” awaits. An opportunity for you to enjoy some good food and drinks together with your teammates and opponents. We will teach you all about uni and MF culture, the seating rules and prepare you properly for the Amphiox!

We’ll meet up and together take Stockholm’s bars by storm. The pubcrawl ends at the club, where older students also join in on the party!

This sitting is traditionally the largest sitting that ends the reception period for you Amphioxes. We meet at Medicinska Föreningen in Solna for a pre-drink and continue to restaurant Nanna Svartz for dinner and incredible entertainment! We’ll later on join the seniors sitting in the Aula for a ceremony where they officially welcome you to MF and for the after-party!
